  1.  Press and hold the power button on the right side and the volume down button on the left side at the same time. The display then lights up briefly and you have already created a iPhone screenshot.
  2.  A thumbnail of the screenshot will then appear in the bottom left of the screen on your device.
  3.  Open the photo by tapping to add text or a drawing with markers as needed. If you press and hold the thumbnail, you can share the screenshot. The screenshot is also saved in the photo gallery.

How To Screenshot on iPhone 6, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 Series

There are the steps for taking screenshot on iPhones with a home button:

  1. Simultaneously press and hold the power button on the right edge of the iPhone and the home button.
  2. Once done, the screenshot will then appear in the bottom left of your iPhone’s display.
  3. If not pressed, the screen capture will disappear after 3 seconds, but can be find on the Photo gallery.

On the older iPhone models, the power button is not on the side, but on the top edge.

  1. Press the home button and the power button on the top of the device simultaneously and release them again as soon as the camera sound is heard.

Take a Screenshot on any iPhone with AssistiveTouch

If you find it too cumbersome to press the two case buttons at the same time, or if you want to take iPhone screenshots more often, you can enable “AssistiveTouch” on your Apple smartphone. This feature create a shortcut on your device based on your needs.

Here’s how to activate Assistive Touch on your Apple device:

  1. open Settings and tap on “Accessibility“.
  2. tap “Touch,” and then “AssistiveTouch,” and turn the feature on by tapping its switch at the top of the screen.

Once the options is activated you can do pretty much everything you want to, including taking a screen capture on your iPhone. Can be customised as needed: by long-press, double-tap or create a shortcut on your device – next to wi-fi, mobile data or bluetooth.

Take a Long Screenshot on iPhone (Scrolling)

With a scrolling screenshot on iPhone, you can take a picture of the whole page from top to bottom or the section that you specify. This method is available on Apple devices without an additional app.

  1. Go to the app in which you want to take a long screenshot, for example your browser.
  2. Simultaneously press the Power and Volume Up buttons to take a screenshot. On smartphones with a home button, press the home and power buttons at the same time.
  3. You can now see a small preview at the bottom left. Tap on it.
  4. Now select the “Full Page” mode at the top.
  5. Finally, tap on “Done”.
